And to think Connor was saying he would run straight through this division.

It'll be interesting to see when/if other fighters get him on the mat, how his ground game holds up in the future.

Dissapointed for HH, the unofficial fight scores had her winning all the 4 rounds. Goes to highlight that no matter how far you are ahead in the fight, it means nothing if someone puts a rear naked choke on you. At least HH tried to carry on till she went unconscious, unlike McGregor (not that it helped her, but hey!).
Don't think thats the case. Some judges had Tate 10-8 for the second round. So if it went to points, it may even have been a draw.

It was the same old points based match from Holm though, like every fight she had before Rousey.

Sorry dude, but that statement does not stack up with her record in the UFC.

Prior to Saturday's fight, HH had fought 10 times, winning 7 without going to the judges (3 KOs, 4 TKOs).

Draw was very likely assuming Tate won last round 10-9

Miesha Tate was arguably on her way to winning the fifth round, but if she hadn’t secured the fight-ending choke, she wouldn’t be the UFC’s new women’s bantamweight champion…

Don't agree with Holm ever looking to build points to drag it out for the judges. Never thought that in her fights.

          Not in UFC

If we take into account lesser promotions, you are right though. The two UFC fights she had before Rousey were underwhelming. A split decision against Pennington is hardly brilliant. This is why her odds were so high against Rousey. I hoped that she found something new with Rousey but it didnt transfer to the Tate fight.

Wasn't really surprised with Tate or Diaz winning to be honest. Tate has always been a great fighter but just not done the business against Rousey.

The longer the Diaz fight went on the more chance he had of winning, and there was no way McGregor was getting out of that choke so no point prolonging it.

Did any of you watch the pre-fight interviews where McGregor said Diaz should be doing a little dance and say thank you for making him a millionaire. Twat. Always liked the Diaz brother, proper fighters from the street who won't give up until they're on a stretcher. Big up the Stockton two.

Hopefully McGregor will drop back down and fight Aldo in the summer. And Diaz will get a fight with Robbie Lawler on the same card.

Roll on DC vs Jon the persistent law breaker Jones in a few weeks time.

Nope me neither. I just meant that it is what happened before Rousey.

Yeah she always came across as pretty cautious, purely due to her ground game being pretty non-existent.

Hyped for DC vs Jones. Have a look at the Unstoppable Press Con if you haven't already. Jones is quite unlikeable to me after that. And DC getting booed? Shame on that crowd! Yup, those fights are likely for UFC 200.
