No, the Inspiron range isn't designed for gaming. It has Intel graphics. You can get much better gaming laptops for that price, the appeal here is the Blu-Ray.

Is that spec up to the task of playing blu rays without dropping frames etc? I assume it would be but you never know!

Oh easily, any Core2 is capable of playing Blu-Ray without GPU assistance tbh.
