    Hmm, I think you mentioned it yourself. I believe Tombraider on the Saturn was the first. Saw it at ects way back, it even predated mario64.

    Might be wrong tho...

        Fade to Black came out before Tomb Raider.

        Alone in the dark aint a shooter though so dosnet count.

        However Contra had third Person bits.... so there you go... that was the first..... maybe? That was more of an actual shooter than Tomb Raider or Fade to Black too.

          ID had a magic game on the Wolfy engnine year before for first person (cant remember what it was called). I got into PCs in 1992 and Wolfy was first one I ever played (got that same day as Alone in Dark and Xwing). AITD was horror and not 3ps.

          Tomb Raider though was 96 I think. Depends on what you call for the genre as FTB was a different type of game to Tomb Raider (FTB came out before it) it was more metal gear solid than Tomb Raider
