If they were the same they wouldn't make 2 types, there must be some difference.

Yes they work with the PSP and functionally they're identical. I have the blue one (1GB version) and it's fine, and the other one is just from their gaming range which happens to look cooler. There might be slight speed differences but it'll be negligible.

The 'gaming' version didn't exist before the PSP; I use Memory Stick Pro Duos in my mobile phone, and there was no such version til the PSP emerged. It's just a marketing ploy. Remember, Sandisk is essentially a Sony brand.
