I agree with you there...Namco does suck ass, Troc is the best i've found yet in london just for the shear amount of games. But they do like to rip the customer off .

Why do you hate Sega at Oriental City, ok so they arn't really using the floor space effectively. It's pricey and the staff are all no knowledge lazy types, but it seems clean and well maintained. I've spent a fair bit of time there over the years.

Places like Troc can only work cos there is no competition, the way that place is operated, the state of the machines, the layout and the staff are just awful. Troc is just floors and floors of complete crap, filthy badly maintained machines in a disgusting layout.

And it makes me so happy that people that suck such large quantities of member hate me so much! ^^

That leaves Casino (sucks major jaji but good for meeting up with people), Colindale (reeks but it's close to good shops) and Namco (which just sucks jaji and loves it)

How come? Is it that they get pissed off when you rinse a game on a single credit.

I can't stand the little scrubs that insist on hanging around arcades just to be annoying.

They never play any games, they seem to regularly bang any random machine on a 5 minutely basis and dick about on the P2 side of DDR/PIU when someone decent plays just because they are completely unable to do anything on it themselves.

Yeah you are right. There isn't really a scene there. I guess I don't notice it so much as it's usually me and half a dozen of my m8s who go down there, so we just end up challenging each other, which is fun.

I take your point though, that I've never had someone come up to me whilst playing Initial D and challenge me to a game and to be honest that would never happen there.

Maybe it's just an English disease.

I tried that a couple of months back. Whenever anyone was playing SC2 I'd sit down and offer a match.

9 times out of 10 I'd get a 'no thanks'. They then proceed to carry on playing Conquest Mode where the CPU AI did very little to fight back. They would have had mre challenge playing the 5 Minute Practice Mode

True - its a crappy place - even with no competition they have felt the pinch enough to give up 4 floors of their space - I assume they must be in trouble, I thought I was being thick and couldn't find the stairs but I emailed them and they confirmed they had shrunk their size - there's no real improvement to whats there. 50p to play older games like Raiden and Strikers 1945 is taking the piss imo.

I dunno why they make it so dark and dingy - no one ever considered a bit of light in these places - would look far more appealing to people.

None of the dark dingyness we are used to but a bright, clean and stylish centre which will cater for people that love games!

You dont need floors and floors of machines - a bright, inviting place where people can come, chill and play games without the dodgyness, uwful ceiling music and nazi security guards is what manz has been crying out for since Wonderpark went!

The days of cigarette burns all over machines, dodgy brers that teef anything, ignorant miserable staff and rows and rows of gambling machines have to end soon!
