Really?! Isn’t normal Deadpool 2 a 15? Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of this release?

Actor T.J. Miller has reportedly confirmed that he will not be returning to play Weasel in the next “Deadpool” film. Miller had previously talked about an expanded role for Weasel last year, but it appears that won’t be happening. Miller’s scenes in the second film were altered and reduced earlier this year after a woman […]

Not unexpectedly, a new report indicates that 20th Century Fox is officially ending development of almost all further Marvel projects as the Disney acquisition of Fox is expected to be complete in either February or March. Film journo Daniel Richtman reports that previously teased “Gambit,” “Doctor Doom” and “Silver Surfer” films are all dead, even […]

Reports are finally emerging that Fox is moving forward in scrapping all future X-Men projects. Gambit, Doctor Doom and Silver Surfer are all said to have been cancelled whilst X-Force is in question, presumably suspended as it is Disney that will decide whether to continue with what would have been the next Deadpool movie.

“Deadpool” scribes Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are in high demand these days with the pair attached to many projects. In a new interview with Screen Rant this week they reveal one project they’re not involved in – at least not yet – is a third “Deadpool”. According to the scribes, 20th Century Fox has […]

The writers of the Deadpool movies have said a third film is on their minds but they won't start any work until X-Force hits the screens, that film currently still on hold

As part of a news story this weekend of actor Channing Tatum leaving his longtime managers, there’s a brief update on the “X-Men” spin-off feature “Gambit”. Tatum has been earmarked for the role of the card-throwing mutant for years, but numerous attempts to get the project going have failed with multiple directors being attached and […]

Would make sense, the films been off radars for a long time and falls well into the post-Disney era now. If they're expecting Dark Phoenix to miss its landing then Disney might have already suggested to Fox it wants to limit further damage to the X-Men brand ahead of their own plans for it.

Second trailer for Dark Phoenix that looks better but... still worse than Last Stand?

Following this morning’s domestic full trailer for the new “X-Men” film “Dark Phoenix,” a new international trailer is out for it – one with a bunch of new footage and with a much clearer layout of the film’s structure, tone and story. This international trailer comes as director Simon Kinberg has spoken about the domestic […]

Kinberg talks spoilers about Dark Phoenix and its trailer, confirming one character death (the trailer suggesting a second as well) saying it tells audiences that no-one is safe given this is the final main X-Men movie before Marvel reboot it.

The studio did a great thing with First Class being an early years/reboot of X-Men. Days of Future Past also did a good job of merging the older and newer casts without the film feeling overwhelming. I think this current line of X-men films had hit their peak though. I've seen Apocalypse a couple of times and although its entertaining enough its the weakest of the newer films.

We'll see how this upcoming one does but there's this overriding feeling that its being pushed out the door primarily to keep Fox's coffers topped up (no different from most big films). I just don't feel much excitement and hype about this one (compare that to Avengers: Endgame where I'm thinking it could be one of my favourite films of this year unless they seriously drop the ball).

This film looks so bad. But maybe not quite as bad as Apocalypse. Still, time to end it.

All of the attention paid to the “X-Men” franchise this week has been about “Dark Phoenix” and its recent launch of two new trailers, the great big spoiler within them, and the baffling decision to delete the far superior trailer that went online. However, there’s another “X-Men” film on the way, the young adult-skewering horror […]

Odds seem to be rising that Dark Phoenix will be treated as the grand finale of the XCU and that New Mutants will get shunted off to the Disney+ streaming service

International version of the trailer that re-edits the shots into a clearer manner as long as you don't mind that's it's effectively the whole film edited down to a 3 minute cut:

Also seems to confirm that outside the US the film will be adding the X-Men name to bolster its marketability so is now called X-Men: Dark Phoenix
