What new words have you learned recently?

Today I read a report about the best practice for looking after dentures. Through that I learned the word “edentulism” which basically means toothlessness.

I love coming across new words and meanings. Anyone else a bit of word fan? And have a crush on Susie Dent? Oops. Did I type that out loud?

OK, so we've had it on the forum for years, I just love DT's reactions to it.

Incel. Genuinely only came across this word for the first time relatively recently, only for it to prove highly relevant in a recent bizarre saga of a post.

subitizing - to visually recognise a number of objects.

integral - contextually, an integral number = an integer. nothing specifically to do with calculus in this case.

Pocillovy. Basically, eggcup collecting. Heard it on Bargain Hunt yesterday, what a strange word.

                      Concatenate

Someone told me to concatenate something in Excel. No only did i not know it did this, I'd never heard the word before.

Ages ago you had to use the Concatenate formula, now you don't have to use and can string together with just '&'.
