    Marvel: Luke Cage

There was talk a few weeks back about Marvel Television shopping around a package of four live-action drama series and a miniseries to various VOD and cable services. Today, Disney has unveiled the nature of those plans in an official press release – the result being a far grander idea than you might expect, one […]

Show number 3 of the new Marvel and Netflix deal announced following the popular character and building up to an event production

    Popular....? Really?

I can't possibly see there being four more shows running simultaneously without total oversaturation and I already think Marvel are hitting close to that line now having Agents Of Shield on TV. I don't think TV (even Netflix) is the same as comics where you can just fill a store with miscellaneous superheroes and hope they'll survive. For a start, budget will be a major factor and audiences will always hold them up against the movies.

He's not popular compared to the big characters but I can see why they chose him over some others. I agree about the plan though, they're moving too fast. Shield doesn't even work right yet so so many new shows will probably feel like being spammed. It does smell of panic tactics to gain ground on DC who despite being behind in film have been doing well in TV.

I can't say I'll be watching any of these.

Daredevil might peek my interest slightly but the rest?? no ta.

All the characters are just too boring for me.

I can't actually think of anyone outside of the big characters that I would like to see in a TV show.

Think a total of five series and a specialis too much? Apparently they're now planning an unnannounced sixth

Finally got around to finishing this series. It really picked up in my view in the last 6 or so episodes. Though I must admit Diamondback was disappointing, I expected a master evil dude ala Kingpin. It was much better than Ironfist, on par with Jessica Jones (I must get around to finishing series 1). Watching these out of order is a bit off putting as I was expecting Claire to bust out some karate (which I gather from the last episode Ironfist is AFTER this series). So now a few episodes of JJ then Defenders which I gather is a bit pants but hey I like DD so will watch it just for him.

Series 2 is shaping up nicely. Saw the first episode and enjoyed it.

I'm a few eps in and it hasn't really grabbed me.

First season of JJ and the two DD seasons are great, the rest is mediocre to poor I'd say. Iron fist being the worst. Not sure whether to bother with season 2 of Luke Cage.

I've been wondering which Marvel shows on Netflix are worth watching, so I think I'll follow your sage advice, Brad.
I've see the first DD series.

                      Punisher is ACE as well.

A highlight I forgot to mention was a Method Man cameo complete with a sick LC rhyme. Awesome stuff.

Iron Fist is worth it just to see the piss poor martial arts (and David Wenham is a pretty good baddie).

Punisher finished well but it was so slow. Not enough punishing going on.

Didn’t he kill someone like EVERY episode? I mean how much punishing does he need to do to appease you? HOW MUCH!

Dude, I kill someone every day and that's just in my day job as an engineer. I expect someone called the punisher to exceed my daily kill quota by some margin.

Did he really kill someone every episode? I recall him mostly moping around. I did like it mind and it felt more real than most marvel stuff.

Punisher did more punishing in DDs2.

I think he got shot more than he shot people.
