    After the positive word about Affleck Warners showed it was free to play faster and looser than Marvel with its DCU plate by scheduling in a solo Batman film right in the middle. Word is they are setting up to do that again by speeding into filming next year on a sequel to this years Suicide Squad.

    The rumour is that David Ayer will film his next film shortly and then next year lead straight into the follow up should the first do as well as WB expects, likely for a 2018 release.

    This has become pretty meaningless now. The positive sequel story seems to have become a PR tactic to show confidence in a movie before it is released and has no bearing on the reality of the situation. Or indeed the quality of any movie involved.
