Danny Boyle has confirmed that the long discussed sequel is now his next film. It will be based on the sequel novel but won't share the same name. All the central cast are returning and Boyle hoped to start filming shortly so as to get the film out for the 20th anniversary of the original next year.

I find that VERY hard to believe, it's been dragged out far too long. Porno is an absolutely brilliant book though, in many ways better than Trainspotting was in my opinion.
