Nintendo Anime Channel review

Didn't bother creating a poll for this, as it's not really a game.

Wasn't sure where to post this, so move it if necessary.

Nintendo have added a free 3DS app to the eShop, which is like a Netflix-type app for anime. It's totally free, but only shows stuff that Nintendo provide, which right now is a handful of episodes of Pokemon, Kirby and Inazuma Eleven.

It seems perfectly good at what it's trying to be, though it only has dubs and the content selection will probably always be tiny.

If it expands to a reasonable amount of stuff, it could be worthwhile. Right now though, kids might like it but it isn't of much use.

To be honest, I'm very surprised that Nintendo have had another go at producing regular media content for the 3DS, given how much of a flop the Eurosport and Nintendo Video apps were as well as how poor the 3DS YouTube app currently is.

In fact, the Kirby anime episodes on the NAC look like the episodes that originally appeared on Nintendo Video, so I really wouldn't be surprised if the Kid Icarus Uprising anime episodes (also aired originally on Nintendo Video) eventually reappeared as well.
