Just kill them with the VOLT cannons that are among the weaponry, all other weapons are useless. Set an OWL Shield. Throwing some mines in front of the stairs isn't a bad idea either. And its not really clear, but after some time you're supposed to enter the ship and let rip.

If you thought this part was bad, you're in for a treat. Chapter 8 is one of the worst in gaming history. Dumb game.

Grapically, i think this is probably the best game i have ever seen in over 30 years of gaming.....The sound is fantastic too although you need to change the option in the settings from normal to small speakers, otherwise it very loŵ and muffled, bizarrely.

It really is a technical marvel.

What i dont like is the sometimes confusing and unfair deaths because you didnt do something at the right time or place. For example the dropship bug at the end of level 2.

I'd have a few p45's at the ready if i was the ceo....

Hard to imagine the technical quality that this thing will be pumping out in 2/3 years.

This and BF4 are a real feast for the eyes. Outputting it on a panny vt65, helps alittle ;-)

God this game is a chore. I have come very close to taking the disc out and smashing it to pieces on many an occasion. Soon as it's done, I will give this away in the Blue Room, taking money or part exchange for this makes me feel like a criminal!

Only played for about 25 minutes so far so I've not got to any of the frustration points many of you seem to have.

Visually just amazing, and great to look at if nothing else.

Yep! It's all fine and dandy until the dreaded last few levels... I actually gave up on the last level it's beyond hard. It's pure hard core 80's and 90's brutality of gaming.

              Eurgh.

Yup stopped at level 7 bridge defend level bit and said nope I'm done. Impatience is my problem, i got quite far with the sniper before i found the electric gun thing that shoots through shields, but there is nothing fun about this level from falling through spiny turbines, to escorting a train along a slow moving track with insta-death its bad bad bad and just stinks of rush job, on a whole this is nowhere near as fun as the ps vita version.

i really wish they had just stuck with the killzone 2/3 formula of fps. Too much nonsense in this.

i am at level 5 now and so far the experience has been decent enough to keep me going. story-wise it's a huge letdown but the gunplay is satisfying and drone gameplay adds some nice tactical elements. visually it's stunning in places, but overall i have to say KIllzone Shadow Fall is far from being a technical showcase. no stereoscopic 3D mode, shadows look fuzzy sometimes and the number of dynamic light sources seem very limited. lots of objects are static, not even showing bullets holes when shot at. strangely the old awkward "dwarf-like" ego perspective managed to persist - your eves still level at breast high of other characters.

the voice acting is horrible. can't put it any other way. i bought the German version but unfortunately it's not multilanguage. how is the English voice acting?

Had a couple of hours at this. Looks amazing, I'm finding controlling the drone a bit fiddly. Oh and the objectives are poorly done - looks like the dreaded infinite spawn baddies have reared their ugly heads in this game. But enjoying it so far despite that. But I've only done 2 missions I think.

Good luck for the few last levels, gamer rage will kick in. I'd say enjoy it until around the mid game mark and don't bother. It's seriously not worth the stress.

I found level 2 I think it is and towards the end one bit a nightmare plus final part. Some good stuff in between though.

Yeah, which was the annoying thing. Because some parts are for sure fun to play, and does have flashes of a good (but not great) shooter in there. It feels like they put all the effort into the first few levels as a sort of tech demo thing, and when they realised they had to make an actual game they just thought meh, lets just do do anything to add a few more hours. That level where you are floating up into the sky with no actual hud etc just screamed half developed to me. That and it screams a rushed to get out for launch day kinda deal, like they felt they had enough dev time at the start, but then half way through realised they had ran out of time so just threw anything in to finish it.
