    Homeworld: Deserts Of Kharak

It's an "online social game" (description taken from the game's Facebook page), but the art from Cody Kenworthy were more than enough to sell me the game.

Mr. Kenworthy is part of the original team that developed Homeworld, and large part of the developers took part in it as well. It won't (probably?) be similar to the seminal space RTS, but at least Hardware is its direct artistic successor.

Gearbox announced at PAX that they granted the official licence for Homeworld to Blackbird Interactive, thus Hardware: Shipbreakers has been renamed Homeworld: Shipbreakers.
I'm kinda torn by the news: Blackbird is staffed by key people that worked on HW1 and HW2, Shipbreakers had incredibly strong ties to those games, but the Homeworld series has always been space-based.

              A ground based rts?

Isn't that like doing a Saga Frontier fighting game, or a silent hill rhythm action game?

Homeworlds whole appeal hinges on it being in space.
