Doom 3 BFG Edition 360/PS3/PC review

This arrived yesterday on pre order, going to play it tonight.

Does anyone know if it supports online co-op through the whole game?

Only Doom and Doom 2. Doom 3 is MP only.

It's a good remaster but the gameplay does feel a little dated and the lack of hit animations on enemies is weird.

Loading times are horrendous on PS3, 40 seconds in some cases. Still plays as well as the original, although its starting to show it's age now. Not a bad deal if you order online from GAME though, Doom 1, 2, 3, RoE and the new levels for £25 and get Rage free.

So just to clarify, there is no online co-op for the campaigns of Doom3/ROE/Lost missions????

That was the main reason I bought this version, ....

And yea, it does feel dated now, no longer in my top 10.

I bought the game since I like Doom 3 but this is a really lazy job.

-You can't back out of Doom 1 and 2 unless you exit to the XMB.
-Auto save from Doom 3 is shit, pauzes the game for like 5 seconds.
-the gun sounds are as crappy as original Doom 3? The Alpha was better.

Nothing a patch can't fix, but its a lazy job.

Working on Doom 3 after a quick run thru D1 & 2. I quite like it so far, smooth and sharp and simple.

Wonder what the load times are like on the digital release on ps3? not going to pay £30, but maybe it will be on special at some point.

40 second breaks is pretty bad on the disc release.
