    A few Blu-rays in Morrisons for £2 a pop

Morrisons seem to be into the preowned thing at present and are currently selling re-sealed DVDs and CDs for £2 each....though many of the stock they're putting out as preowned is actually brand new old stock.

So I bought Blus of Hellboy, Zombieland and Pandorum for £2 each, as well as 'normal' DVDs of The Big Red One: The Reconstruction and Harry Hill's TV Burp Gold. Out of all of them, only the Harry Hill one was actually preowned, the rest were brand spanking new!

Only downside is there were very few Blus in my local Morrisons, and far too many copies of Crank.

At the risk of sounding annoying, how do you know they were new?

Will scope out the Morrisons in town tomorrow. Will try to get to Kirkstall/Hunslet sometime soon to see what's going on.

I just KNOW, man...I used to deal in pre-certificate videos many moons back, I can spot a fake or 'faded' item from a million yards away(!) Hehe...

We're talking seals with the 'Blu-ray' logo on, retail-level cellophane packaging, leaflets/inserts totally unbended, 100% 'TRUMINT' discs, these are absolutely the real deal.

The re-sell discs have scabbier, more obvious/crude shrinkwrap around them, which looks kinda real from a distance but *totally* obvious to one with eyes like a shithouse rat's. Anyway, that Hazza Hill DVD was still in great nick. It was just clear that the disc surface had been exposed to some kind of atmosphere, it was mildly less shiny than a 'newie'. Ahem.

Sorry, I'm stoned. I liked writing this post. Paddy, get down to Moggy's tomoz, though expect a HUGE dose of Hellboy and not much else in the Hunslet branch!!!!!

Went back today, no Blus left at all. Got Ricky Gervais' Politics (for the extras) and Bill Bailey's Cosmic Jam (even tho I'm not too fussed about B.B., it had another concert as a bonus DVD so I thought it might appease my curiosity in a good VFM type of way) for £2 each. Bill Bailey's was brand new, the Gervais one was clearly 2nd hand but had been buffed down to 'perfection'. Ah well, it works perfick.

PS: Will check that shop out, mainvein - as a South Leeds type of chap, I rarely venture those ways but shall take the effort.

Seems like shoppers pay attention and picked up the best spoils. Oh well, nice to see these quite deals occasionally. Get some good stuff for cheap.
