Is this like AppleTV when it allows you to steam on to the iPad instead of TV, or is it actually allowing you to take ICO with you wherever you go?

Remote Play is streaming. You'd need the ICO disc in your PS3, and then you assume control of the XMB from afar.

Nice, it's good to see remote play getting more support. But I'd far prefer a Vita-native version of the game.

good news but people who jailbroke their ps3's have been able to remote play their entire catalog of games since day 1 and with the imminent release of wiiU you'd think sony would just unlock full functionality in a firmware update and trump the wiiU in functionality before its even out.

But does that actually work well? I'm pretty ignorant so keen to be enlightened. I've read that unlocking remote play for all games results in a pretty poor experience for most of them as it's unoptimised - is that right?

I would quite happily do remote play with a wireless pad and an ipad for xbox games..

I played a few remote play games on my PSP Go. Worked pretty well. Don't try to play street fighter for example but Ico should be fine I reckon. Pixeljunk Eden worked really well.

This works brilliantly! Zero lag. I put the image quality to +1 too. Looks great. Sadly there is a small border and seemingly no way to get rid of it. Why!? Still great to play this on a Vita screen though. I was about 10 metres from the PS3 (slim).
