Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes
Hideo Kojima unveiled the new Metal Gear Solid game running on the new "Fox engine" as the franchise celebrates it's 25th anniversary. Most interesting fact is that apparently they showed open-world gameplay where Snake drove a Jeep and called in a helicopter to pick him up.
Kojima also confirmed that the MGS movie is in the works by Columbia Pictures.
Really like the art they posted for it. That little bit of info has me deeply excited.
MEGATON. Its not set in WW2 then? Does this mean Ill have to buy a bloody PS4 I suppose?
Well, there's this quote from Kojima:
"I had several ideas for a game featuring The Boss and the Cobra Unit during the invasion of Normandy. I then handed these plans over to the team so they could take over and make the game."
So, I guess WW2 could be featured in the game...
Looks great and I loved how MGS3 turned back the clock.
This generation or next generation I wonder...
Yes, I did read that (and his previous comments regarding a WW2 setting) I suppose it's still likely it may be set in that time period in parts.
Maybe the name "Ground Zeroes" implies that there are going to be multiple battlegrounds in the game. I certainly hope so.
The devastation in post war Europe left many Ground Zeroes So makes scence.

This will 100% be a next-gen title for release in 2014/15 at the earliest. Worth the wait though.
