Looks like a really good idea, have seen/used the old trick of bending the pins back to make them connect again, but this is a nice work around.

he must not doing the reset fix quite right if he says he has do it each time he uses it (even if it does come out occasionally). I've only ever had to do mine twice since i had it at launch. But, i suppose this does make a permanent fix untill the psu goes bad.

Why would it go bad? I got my DC used and the previous owner must have done it a lot then.. Not much tension left here.
