I read somewhere that apparently colour Kindles are in the works - not sure when.

Thank you all for the best wishes and purchases.

The Mrs has a kindle so this will be going on it...just need to finish my mountain of other books & prize the thing from her fingers but I'm all for reading this...I love anything post-apocalyptic so should be right up my street

Congrats on completing the book & well done on all the hard work.

Again it's been a dream of mine to do something like this but I'm sure as most have seen on here & other forums I frequent I can't write for ****!! lol

        Looking forward to reading it.

        Well done again

        Neil

I did! Back in 1999, it was ink on cardboard. The cover is a section from the left side of the painting.

Nice. Well done on actually doing it and seeing it through to the end. Hope it's good! I may be getting a Kindle at some point and will give it a go then. Really great achievement though.

Good stuff, John, for having the perseverance to see it through!

Christ, I have about four books on the go, and the best one has just reached it sixtieth page. After six years.

Despite my misgivings about the format (I LOVE papery books!!!), might be getting a Kindle very soon, will DL your book forthwith when I get one.

PS: Apologies if I'm being a bit racialist here, but how exactly do you pronounce your surname? Is it szhE-panny-ak, the 'E' as in pEt/nEt/sEt???? Have always been curious!

Oh wow, that's well racist. Even I'm offended.

                  Anyway, I'm thinking "sez-cheh-panny-ak".

^Do I say it with my Klan hood On, or Off??? Or at a slant???

Too many parameters these days, it's politically correction gone MAD!

(PS: In terms of pronunciation, I feel you're getting there more than I was).

That would depend on him being Chinese.

Based on your old profile caption I thought you were more Wu Tang Clan than Ku Klux Klan, but as it's not winter yet, keep the hood off, especially indoors. Please don't leave any burning crosses on my front yard.

Take the SH from SHip and the CH from CHip, and put them together with no vowel sound between them. Paniak after that is pretty easy. Failing that, either Brown or Rowling will do as an alternative.

Always happy to support fellow NTSC-UKers, so e-book get!

                            Well done, sir.

Highlights so far are the chapters "Libyan Gravity Train", "Slaves in Akkadian", "Spending The Day Burning People" and my personal fave, "Blowing Up Indestructible Tramps"

You should be spoiler tagging that stuff!

                              EDIT:
Fun fact, a little while ago it was #73 on Amazon Kindle UK's top 100 sci-fi adventures list. It's a dropped a bit since I last checked, but yay for the top 100! Thanks to all the buyers who made that possible.

Just want to say congrats on your book.

Always wanted to pen a book, but don't have the time, patience or even an idea for a story to give it a go.

Some of those chapter titles are class by the way!
