I'll be 39 in June. Damn, I feel old. Aches and pains all over the shop.
I wandered in here expecting to be the oldest at 38. I`m SOOOOO happy now
Bloody hell Keith! 38 and still playing games.......... I think you need to give all your games to me, incase anyone finds out!

Nah, I'm 20. I think I was 16 when I signed up, which probably explains a lot of my early posts...
It's amazing how old the demographic here tends to be. Most game forums are populated by 15 year olds. RLLMUK seems a bit younger even, or at least the off-topic forum over there would have you believe.

I'm 31, what I can't understand is how some people here are so young when I feel like I've been reading their posts for years.. so, when I was 25 was I having 'debates' with 12 year olds???

I'm 19 next Thursday. This site is practically unique in that it's a games forum that seems to skew massively towards the over 30s...though I'm pretty sure that wasn't always the case. In the massive cull a couple of years ago a lot of slightly more spry 20 somethings got banned, iirc.
Sometimes I have to go on SomethingAwful for a bit so I don't feel so close to death.

I'm hitting 30 early June. I'm just glad I never made a list of things I wanted to do before I was thirty in my youth as having not done much so far I'd have a ridiculously 40 days or so ahead of me if I did.

38 and still feel about 22. Just wish the birds felt the same way
Been there from the birth of videogaming and had just about everything from a pong machine, Coleco vision, Atari 2600 woodchip, Videopac, ZX80 and almost everything inbetween all the way through to now.
How many of you young'uns can boast that.. or would want to ...(groans inwardly and looks at the grey hairs)
Big Four Zero for me in November :-(
EDIT: Oohh we're doing gaming history too!
I had a ZX80 and a Vic-20. Astro Wars and Galaxy Invader 2000. Oh, and Donkey Kong Game & Watch (wish I'd kept that!) My cousin had an Atari 2600 (lucky sod) and Tin Can Alley!
Just reminiscing mate
ROLF ..TIN CAN ALLEY..I had that. Wicked with Dr Pepper cans. I forgot all about the little mini arcade games i had as a kid like Space Invaders 1000 & 10000, Galaxian, Pacman, scramble and defender. Memories :thumb:

I can remember playing Space Invaders in the arcade at Maldon Prom when it first came out. I also had an uncle who was so rich that he held a party one new years eve and all us kids got our own room with two table top cabs to play on! One was some kind of Dig Dug game (although not actually dig dug I think). We stayed the nigh and in the morning got to watch Star Wars on his VCR. When I told the kids at school that I'd watched Star Wars on my uncle's TV they beat me up for lying!
Sorry, got carried away with the reminiscing bit.

There's nothing more guaranteed to motivate/depress me than thinking I'm probably more than half way through already. That and seeing old b&w footage of 'swinging' 60s London and knowing that I was around (young, but around) then.

Hold on, this isn't the 1700's, when you reach my age I will have retired and be putting my feet up.
You however will still be working towards your retirement which by then will have been upped to 75:thumb:

26 myself, although would gladly be younger again already! (don't really know why... perhaps due to how life manages to get increasingly more complicated over time).

I would have loved to have been around during that period (60s/70s are fascinating in so many ways), so you're quite fortunate in a way - don't feel too bad about yourself :)

As well as being the oldest, I have been retired for almost 3 years. Being an (almost) full-time gamer certainly has its advantages. I keep telling myself I'll grow up one day, but can't see it happening any time soon!!

I didn't start posting on here more frequently until I was 19, going on 20 as I was a lurker for quite a while so it's all good.
My brother owned the Tin Can Alley as a kid and as far as i know he still has the whole thing in working order in the loft - including all then un-openable Dr Peppers.........
They sure don't make em like they used to!
I think a variation of the play set came out with coca cola cans instead.
I wasn't even born when he was playing that thing lol!

33 myself. Not the oldest, not the youngest, and certainly not the wisest.
