Bought a code at the weekend and delivered within the hour.

A wee bit more expensive but you can submit a best offer. I had an offer of £26 accepted but I think the decision is automated so you could go in lower and work up if need be.

I definately remember reading somewhere that the Live subs were region locked too, something about PAL users importing them and saving a bundle, obviously M$ frowns on such activity, they didn't become the richest company on the earth by petting puppies and donating to charity you know...

MS Points have been territory locked since day one and I'm sure Live codes started to get locked within the last couple of years.

Just wanna follow up on Evil Boris' post. I bought one from the same guy yesterday and ...BOSH! code was in my inbox in just over an hour and it works fine. 13 months for a little over 23 quid = (Alan Partridge voice) "lovely stuff"

There's seems to be various warnings that they will initially work then you dumped of live after 28 days.

Quality, no-one had replied in here so I asked a mate who'd bought one recently, small world eh. Guy came through with the code pretty quickly (allowing for the time difference etc). Amazing how prices have come down in 12 months :)

A friend of mine bought one just as his account was banned, but he was still emailed the working code from another email address so all ok.

Not sure if it anything to do with Ebay's new rules on selling e-items where nothing is physically posted?

I've just bought 4. And it's starting to spread around the Internet, so I'd suggest everyone buys these up quickly :) I assume the poor guy will turn up on Monday to find 1000s of orders waiting for him, when he probably only has 2 in stock....

You even get PGR2 and a headset thrown in (though you'll need an adaptor to get it to work on the 360).

Think my Live is due to auto renew mid July so can I stop that and enter one of these codes before that I take it? And you don't need to make a new Gamertag or anything? I've always just let it renew off my card so not 100% sure.

Give it a try or just cancel the auto renew if it doesn't let you!

Yeah if you use a code (even just a month) it will stop the 39.99 auto renewing happening until it is due to expire again
