Obviously, these were American visitors, but does anyone have any idea what the attraction was? So far as I recall, its the highest figure any of the sites message board have had. Can anyone satisfy my curiosity on this?

Exactly what I was thinking a few days back. Thought it might have something to do with CES and a rumoured PS3 unvieling.

If it's anything like the last time, it's just robots. Obviously we are a source of ace gaming info and it's possible loads of people logged on in the night, but robots is more likely

For some reason, I must of read that as 24-hour clock time

Usually, that time format would be without the leading 0

Yep, but NTSC-uk seems to have a PAL clock that runs 17.5% slower, so the real time would've been after 4PM.

They're software bots that crawl across the web looking for web pages to index.

Like spiders right? If thats the case then why all at that one time? It also means that the count is never accurat cos you dont knwo when bots are about.

Guess though, but i doubt there was that many at one time. More likely someone posted a link from another site.
