No, but looking at the pictures its hard to think that she's a COLD BLOODED KILLAH! :dHow about this one? Thats a classic look as I disturb her as she is making her way across the wall to the neighbour's garden where there are a load of big trees and lots of birds nests...

anyone got any better ideas for stopping a cat catching a million birds a day?
Just be happy that you don't have the London Underground running behind your house, where you cats go to catch mice which they then deposit in your living room (without having the decency to kill 'em first) while you're trying to watch telly :)

Mind you she doesnt always kill the birds though, so its sad, especially when she catches fledglings http://ntsc-uk.domino.org/images/smilie/sad.gif .
Live mice - not nice - but I have dealt with that before and those little buggers are really quick!

One of our cats managed to pull a live pigeon in through the cat flap once! Luckily they didn't do too much damage to it and we got it out through the hall window. They did bring in a baby blackbird once though, which we thought we might be able to save but it was not to be :( You tell yourself it's only nature but it's still a bit of a downer.
The worst mouse incident was actually a rat incident. They caught it, took it in the front room, but then the rat got nasty and started squeeking like a maniac and jumping up at the cats faces! They legged it and left us to deal with it :) It was a vicious rat, like something out of a horror film! Took ages to get rid of the bloody thing!

Worst I've had was (I may have said this before) when my cat got into the tank of my pet frog and took him out to play in the middle of the night. I was woken up by this high pitched squealing - coming from the frog - and retrieved him *from my cat's mouth*. The frog was fine, good job the cat hadn't gotten bored of him yet!

Mine have brought home
Lots of Mice * alive and dead *
Lots of Birds * alive and dead *
a frog * survived *
a bat * was alive for a while but died :( *
worms from the garden (wtf)
bread that neighbours put out for birds (wtf)
and the funniest thing they ever brought through the cat flap was a 3 foot long stick, how they managed that i don't know.
My friends cat brought him a plastic dinosaur LOL
HumanEnergy

That's an impressive list! Better not let my cats see it as otherwise their pride might make 'em wanna top it!
They've currently brought in lots of alive and dead mice (usually alive!!) a few live rats, a few live birds. They have finished off a few frogs in the garden but never brought them inside the house. They've also come close to catching a squirrel a few times but haven't managed it yet!
That's our two young cats, Shadow and Star. Our old fat cat Smudge hasn't caught anything for about four years :)

Wicky my cat used to bring home loads of worms, pretty much every night for a while and it was pretty nasty. Its funny when they bring in random stuff though but a 3 foot long stick and a pigeon...those cats sound pretty mental and I thought mine was bad!

here is are some new pictures, i have other pics elsewhere in the thread but it's about time for an update.
This is toggles, she is 5. She likes to collect frogs and bread.

This is Kuma, she is also 5, she likes to collect bats, worms, leafs and various sticks/twigs
http://www.wickyewok.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/kuma2006.jpg
This is NekoBomb, she is about 8 months old. She was called yoshi for a few days but we found difficulty bonding with the name. When she was small I used to pick her up and drop her on the other cats when they were asleep, and when i done this i used to shout NEKO-BOMB and then drop her!!! The name stuck :) It was most amusing (for me anyway)

Nekobomb has just adopted the defensive posture, that's all. She's inviting Toggles to come in for close combat, at which point she will grab with front claws, enabling her to both chew and simultaneously batter the helpless victim with her hind claws.
Unfortunately it seems Toggles hasn't fallen for it.

If anybody is in the kitchen when our cats go out there to eat, they won't start unless you fill up the bowl with brand new food first :) We trick 'em though, just pick up the bowl, pour the food into the measuring cup, poor the exact same food back into the bowl. Put the bowl down and the cats will pounce on it and start eating!
Not a weird food story but umm... weird food habits :) Our cats (the younger two especially) will generally eat anything though. If we've had it for dinner or lunch, they've probably had a sample too!

Eurgh, hairless cats? Mr Bigglesworth?
I doubt that would work as in my case (I still remember what the doctor said when I was 14) I am allergic to cat skin cells. I don't know if that's the norm or not.
There was supposed to be some breakthrough vaccine many years ago but it's either unreliable or very expensive... never hear much about it.

Firstly, hello to all!
I've been mooching through this thread for a while and have decided it's about time my moggy was available for all to see...
His name is Merlin, and he can be a right cantankerous git at times, but we, (Me & The Wife), still love him... even when he's trying to slice your ankle open as you walk past him... or lunging at your elbow with mouth gaping and needle sharp teeth bared in an attempt to turn your flesh into a 'pounds per square inch feline jaw pressure testing kit...'
He has some odd quirks, like many a cat...
He doesn't meow... he beeps... (you have to hear it)
He likes Fish Food, Salt & Vinegar Crisps, Digestives, Humous, Banoffi Pie and Twiglets...
But his most quirky thing is his love for electrical equipment. I can only think he gets some kind of 'vibe' from all the gadgets sprawled around the house and loves nothing more than to sleep atop a powersupply or powercable... He loves sleeping next to the DVI & VGA cables that run from my Mac & XBOX360 to the monitor...
But as you can see... he loves something far too much for my liking...
The first picture is of Merlin giving me the 'evil eye', something he's extremely good at...
And the second is of Merlin relaxing after completing his favourite game...
Hope you all like... :)

He's the least dangerous cat you've ever met. I think the only thing he's ever killed have been flys and spiders.

This is Fluffy Bollocks, he moved in with us for 2 years in my house in Preston. I couldn't bare to part with him so when I left Preston a couple of months ago I brought him back to my Mum's house in Essex...without warning her first but she loves him now so it's all okay!
He acts like a dog, he'll keep coming in the house and crying at me until I go outside and play with him, and he plays rough - he knaws on my hands and arms like he's chewing a bone

Ive had two cats now, and not one of them ever used a cat-bed beyond the first few months. I find that during the night, they will get up and sleep in a variety of places, but not very often in the same place for a long period of time. Up until around 3am, I could probably tell you exactly where and when my one decides to sleep, hes so incredibly routined its amazing.

We have 2 cats. They're called Geoff & Lily!!
Both are tuxes (tuxedo cats i.e. black & white). I'll try & get a piccy of both. For some reason people dont tend to like Tuxes or Black Cats, whereas I LOVE Black Cats!!
They do fight quite often. My lady had Geoff from a Pet Shop & we think he must have been taken away from his mum too early & that he hadnt had much handling b4, so is very territorial. He only likes certain people. If he doesnt like you he'll rip u to pieces!!
Lily is the opposite & is smaller, but when we 1st had Lily she used to knock the shit out of Geoff & pin him to the floor because we got her from a Cattery so she had mingled with other cats & Geoff didnt have a clue how to fight!
Goeff seems to fight her more now & she seems to back off, but I reckon she could still knock him for six!
However when I come down in the morning theyre almost always cwtched up together on the sofa. Oh bless!!!
I think that it is best to have at least 2 cats as they're company for each other & is great entertainment for you too!!

What's it like having three cats in the house? Is it a bit mental, do they all like eachother, do they fight a lot etc? I can't wait to get a kitty but with the place I'm at now it would be unfair to have one as it's too small. 3 months until I can get one woo!
We have three cats as well, Smudge who's been here since 1998 and Star and Shadow (brother and sister) who we've had since 2003. Generally they just ignore each other but they have the occasional moment where Smudge will chase them around the garden for a few seconds, or one of them will clock the other in the face when they pass on the stairs :)
Only ever had a couple of full blown fights and both times it was Star and Shadow fighting, even though they've been together since birth!
No real problems at all having three cats in the house (and with us introducing two new ones after Smudge had been here alone for five years that's quite surprising). They'll often go to sleep within a couple of feet of each other so they can't hate each other that much :) The only real problem we have is that Star and Shadow do still hang out together and work together when it comes to catching mice / rats and leaving them in the hall
out of curiosity why do cats bury their own crap? Is it somat to do with scent?

Yeah we have that trouble with Lily too. She's brought a vole or 2 into the house & my Lady came back home once to find a crow, still alive & undamaged hiding behind the TV! (Lily must have brought it in thru the catflap!).
I caught her with a live sparrow in her mouth once, & so did the old 'hold her nose' trick to get her to leave it go, which worked & it survived!

Sad News. Our Lily's gonna have to have an eye removed because an operation to remove some of her teeth (she had gingervitis & her gums were wrecked so they had to come out) managed to damage her eyeball, which filled up with what is known as fibrin & protein. She had a scan today to see how the steroids & antibiotics were fighting the infection & unfortunatley theres no hope of saving the eye.
So she'll have half a hitler tash & only 1 eye soon. At least she will still be alive & well, & thats the main thing though.

All the white fur on her face was pink due to the blood! (they wiped as much as they could) & she has to wear a cone to stop her taking out the stitches.

This is Rory, my parents' cat. At last reckoning, my Mum and I think he's about 20 years old. He has not long left for this world, the poor little mite. He's got cataracts and arthritis, plus he's as foul tempered as he ever was.

Gorgeous kitty by the way!
I've been going through Resi names actually trying to find something that everyone will agree on! It's all the fault of Resi 5 hype! At the moment I think Oscar has become our fall back name, if we can't all agree on something else. I personally prefer to give cats exclusive cat names rather than human names though :)
He's settling in pretty well at the moment though. Running, jumping, climbing, pouncing, he's doing the lot. He's getting much better with people handling him too, he's gone from running away as soon as a hand went near him to letting you stroke him while he rolls over and purrs away
The one downside at the moment... crapping on the floor  Weird as well because he did it on the first day, but that evening we managed to get him to go in the litter tray, but since then he's gone back to the floor again. We're scooping up the offending mess, putting in the litter tray and getting him to look at it. Hopefully he'll get the message!!
EDDIE M0NS00N
10-08-2007, 04:56 PM
A good idea is to put down a couple of litter trays in different areas of the house so that he has a better chance of seeing them. I read that if Kittens cant see somewhere to bury their crap within looking distance then they go anywhere.
U dont have to buy loads of litter trays either get small ones as he's only a tiddler, or use other things like those baking/plastic trays u get with meat n stuff.
HumanEnergy
10-08-2007, 06:55 PM
Cheers for that, I looked up some info on the net as well and managed to get him to do his business in the correct place just now :thumb: Hopefully he'll stick with it and it's not a false dawn!
He was going on the floor in one specific place so we've got two litter trays in that area now. He almost went on the floor again (while sitting two inches from the tray!!) but I picked him up and popped him on the tray and luckily he stayed put.
Having to toilet train a kitten is a new experience for us! Smudge was almost a year old when we got her (a stray who we adopted via a woman where I used to work) and she already knew what to do. Star and Shadow we got at around the same age as ginger but they both went in the litter tray first time with no prompting at all!
The little fella is a superb kitten though, today he's taken to jumping on our laps and demanding to be tickled and stroked :) Was a little worried at first with him being so timid compared to our last two kittens, but he's shaken it off and become a really friendly little bloke.
EDDIE M0NS00N
10-08-2007, 10:27 PM
Once they start doing it on the floor they tend to go back to the same spot as they can smell where they've been previously, so it might be a good ide to put the tray in that exact spot if possible.
Either that or u can get a special cleaning spray called 'Get Off' from Pets At Home or B&Q, which not only cleans but deters them from doing it in the same spot again by hiding their scent.

Love the names, the Mrs is a big Sopranos fan and often pinches my dressing gown and shuffles around the house, doing her best to impersonate him(she is 5ft 3" and skinny!)
Yep, they are very alike - Tony could double for Monty quite easily.
Ours are from 2 separate Boroughs - that they are from the same litter is quite an achievement.

Lovely looking cat! She's got similar colours to our cat Star. If she ever has kittens you'll have to call them names like gigahertz and dual-core :D
I wish our new kitten Oscar was as well behaved! He'll sit quietly and want to be stroked when he's just woken up, but as soon as he's fully away he's running around and wanting to play fight with everything, including us :) Anyone got any tips for calming down a kitten? Star and Shadow definitely weren't as hyper as he is!

I dunno how your Cats react to Catnip. Some get chilled on it while others go nuts. You could try it and see what happens.
Theres another thing you can get from the Vets or possibly your local supermarket called 'Feliway' which is like those air freshners that you plug in. They release a Cats natural pheremones which calm down the Cat.
Either that or Oscar is just a bit more hyper than other Cats so u could put it down to being part of his character:lol:

Hey guys, I could do with some cat advice and this seems to be the thread to get it.
We got a cat back in April from the RSPCA. She is a wonderful, well behaved and loving 8 year old and we love her to bits and I have pics incoming of her. Her name is Yuffie (as in Final Fantasy 7).
We've decided we'd like to get another cat to go with her and keep her company and were thinking about getting a kitten.
So my question is this: has anyone else had a similar situation? And if so, how did your first cat take it? If you got a kitten did your cat mother it at all, kind of adopt it?
Any advice would be much appreciated, cheers!

Yuffie is lovely :) remind me of one of my old cats
I had to introduce a kitten into my house after a lad at work bought a kitten to pull chicks and realised he couldn't look after her.
She (Neko) got on great with one of my cats (Toggles) but not with the other (Kuma).
Guess it kinda just depends on the cats

Lovely cat :D As Wicky said, how a cat reacts to a kitten all depends on the individual cat. Our latest, Oscar, provokes different reactions from all three of our existing cats!
Shadow actually tolerates him enough that he'll sleep on the same chair as Oscar with no problems. Even puts up with Oscar following him around without too much fuss :) Smudge is basically indifferent to him. She won't chase him, but will hiss and give him a whack if he gets too close. Star doesn't like him at all! I think she's scared of him because she doesn't attack when she sees him, just buggers off in the opposite direction asap!
They'll probably end up all ignoring each other in the end though. Smudge really disliked Shadow and Star at first, but now they just all ignore each other 99% of the time. Probably helps that they can go out in the garden and all have their own space whenever they want.

It can vary depending on what your current cat is like tbh.
Our Geoff is a pretty territorial cat & doesnt reallly like strange people coming in the house so we werent sure what was gonna happen when we decided to introduce yr old Lily to the family. Surprisingly they got on well. In fact she took over for a bit & was wrestling him to the ground & pinning him down (LOL). Now they're the best of mates bar the occasional scuffle.
Your best bet is to try them together & if they dont get on then put the kitten in a little cage like a hamster or a dog cage or summat & then introduce them. Keep them both together keeping the kitten in the cage so that they get used to each other & each others scent but so that no harm will come to the little un, & eventually they will be fine with each other. So much so that you'll be able to let the nipper out.
Whatever you do dont let the kitten outside as it will get lost
or hurt.
If u need any more help just let me know mate!!

We have done some research and it seems like there is loads of stuff to do with introductions that can help it all go smoothly.
We'll hopefully get him in about a month so I'll post some pics then and let you know how it goes.
Thanks again guys!

Have any of you had to wash your cat's feet and if so, how did you do it without traumatising them?
Yuffie has some kind of localised bacterial/fungal infection on some of her toes. The vet thinks this is down to a poor immune system in her feet as she is extremely healthy in every other respect.
The upshot of it is that we have to wash her feet with an anti fungal shampoo and obviously she hates it. I have to hold her over the bath while my girlfriend wets her feet, lathers up this shampoo and then let it sit for a couple of minutes before rinsing it off.
Our poor little cat is completely stressed and traumatised by it and it is upsetting us to do.
Has anyone got any hints or tips for relaxing the cat or making it less upsetting for her?
Thanks!

Hey man, I'd suggest just lathering up the shampoo on a flannel, and have a second damp flannel to rinse the shampoo off. Take them to where she's lying down sleeping or relaxing and clean them there rather then carrying her to the bathroom.
If she get's up while the shampoo is still on you could try picking her up and stroking her for a while before cleaning it off with a damp flannel.

Sad to hear that Wicky :( Not a day goes by without our cats getting a good hug!
Oscar is now old enough (and vaccinated enough!) to go out into the big wide world of our garden, so I thought I'd take a few pics.
Wildlife beware, he's looking very agile! We were thinking "He's only young, he won't be too adventurous straight away," and then within five minutes of going outside he's found his way to the top of the next door neighbours big shed :)
He'll still have to work hard to beat Star though. She has no problem with somehow scaling the house and coming in through upstairs windows rather than using the catflap!

Did he pull this face after sniffing summat? If so he's doing what is known as 'fleming'. He's using his Jacobson organ to sniff & taste at the same time, hence the gib he's pulling!

Hmm, slightly late reply: don't know what he was doing just before that face was pulled (slightly late and slightly crap I should say :) ). It was one of the first times he was outside though so I imagine he was sniffing everything in sight.
I'll have to post a new piccy of him soon, Oscar has got fairly big! We also discovered last night that he's the only one of our cats who will react to seeing other cats on TV. We were watching a Big Cat Diary DVD and he was fascinated by it. He eventually went up to the screen and started pawing at the face of a Leopard, and jumped up to try and grab its tail! He's lucky it wasn't a real one :)

Aye Im pretty devestated. Dont have kids with my health and my cat/s (now cat man what a bad two years) and dog are my kids. He is the last of the litter to go his dad died last year at 18 with his brother and his sister died the year before also last year we lost our dog all thru old age.
Claude was with us pretty much permantly. He would go out of my window onto the garden then straight back in or he would scream till I let him in! If I went out of my room he would come with me like a little puppy and pretty much was terrified of everyone elsea apart from the vet and the family at the cattery. I sleep at a weird angle on my side with a pillow protecting my spine and hes been their on my pillow top for years next to me. Was just so sudden yesterday was fussing him and picking him up. The other cat Vienna was with us yesterday and she never comes in here so I think she must have sensed something as she was fussing him all day. I just put him down teatime last night and he started to go to sleep then shot up but started to wobble and his eyes started to loose their tracking. Picked him up and fussed him but with that he just had a thankfully very peacefull massive stroke. He was never in any pain and was laid wrapped up in a towel in my arms purring till my mum took him to the vets and she said he never stopped purring till he went.
Hes had a wonderfull life and gave me so much pleasure so Im thankfull to have had him just going to take time I guess.

Here's a stray kitten we found meowing in the garden a few months back. These pictures were taken about a month after we first found her, she grew considerably in that time. Dunno where she came from, we put a few posters up and asked the neighbours, but to no avail. I can only assume her mum abandoned her here as there's a lot of hiding places in our garden.
We named her Keiko, but we couldn't keep her due to the busy road down the back of the garden. She was adopted very quickly as I don't think anyone can resist the cuteness for too long.
She could be a bit of a handful, especially at night when she would attempt to climb the shelves and knock all my Gamecube games over.

We've had the kittens for a few days now. This morning there was blood in one of their stools, I think I know which one it is as it was in the litter tray and only one has grasped what thats for so far. Tonight the other one had a blood in its stool :(
We are feeding them Whiskers kitten food as the RSPCA told us too, could this be disagreeing with them? Both have had their first set of injections and are due for the second set next week. They are playful and both eating well, infact they are constantly pestering me for more food.
I'm not overally worried but I've no prior experience with kittens, can any of you cat owners provide any anecdotal advice?

I'd be taking them to the vet ASAP to be honest. May be nothing at all but they're so small you don't want to risk it.
Our two both had bad tummies when they were tiny, including one really pleasant incident of runny poo being sprayed up a wall, and both were fine so don't get to worried but best to be sure.

Get em to the vets sharpish m8 it could be nothing but it could be anything. Their kittens from RSPCA so you dont know the background of the mother if she had anything. I just wouldnt take the risk as from personal experience RSPCA arent that great on finding if theirs disease their when you take it into care (our first dog from them got given a week to live put it like that from our local vet thank god we gave him everything and every shot going to survive).

This is all true. Don't buy them a nice bed - just sling a cardboard box on the floor with a few bits of newspaper in. Whenever a new box arrives it's like the Alamo when one gets in and the other two try to attack.
Don't buy toys - sweetie wrappers, till receipts, shiny foil - all get batted around far more frequently.

And some of them are less inclined to do so:

Might I suggest you call her after my girlfriend, Miki? She does the exact same thing when I'm trying to type too :D
I've never been a fan of the hairy cats but that pic is awesome!

Ours cats (minus Smudge, who didn't want to go out!) messing about in the snow. Shadow ran around too much to get proper shots so it's mainly Star and Oscar.

Blimey! How time flies. We've had Poppy for 3 1/4 years already!
Had her annual MOT last Friday with bonus dematt as, because she's an older lady, she can't groom like she used to and hates to be brushed! They need to knock her out to perform the procedure! This time though they've shaved her so from halfway down her back she's got no fur!
She's still very much Daddy's girl. I'm laying in bed now typing this on my iPhone and she's curled up super-tight next to me. She gets mega-angry when I go to give Mrs Teddy a cuddle. I suppose that's Torties for you.
I'll get a pic of her awesome hairstyle tomorrow!

Boo! She was 14 this year and she's virtually my other wife. Likes to sit on my chest and stare at my face until I'm awake and insists on climbing under the covers between my wife and I for a quick snuggle every night.

Only iPhone pics but here is Poppy.
We got her from Battersea Old Windsor back in April 2007 with a warning that she'd been given to the home as she suffered from severe behavioural issues. Turns out that she was in a house with 2 sets of adults, 5 kids, cats, dogs, rabbits and birds so it's no surprise that maybe she was a bit agitated!
We, however, have never had a single issue with her - unless you count the fact that she gets a bit annoyed when you DON'T give her a cuddle when she demands one  I don't see how that's bad!
Every night when I get into bed she waits for me to get comfortable and then jumps up and snuggles down by my chest. It's the most relaxing thing in the world hearing her purr and sound content. It really puts me to sleep!!
As you can see from the full shot, she's just returned from her latest adventure at the vets. They had to shave her back and sides due to her not being able to groom herself due to her age and the potential onset of arthritis.
Still, we love her so much. Best decision we ever made getting a rescue cat!!

Our cat Shadow died suddenly this evening, we're totally devastated, it came completely out of nowhere.
One moment he was fine, his usual self, then just after dinner my brother went into the kitchen and found him lying on the floor panting, making wheezing noises, drool coming out of his mouth. He would try and walk a few paces but then he'd lay back down again, like it was too much effort.
We got him straight into the carry case and set off for the vet but he died in the car before we even got there. The vet said it's pretty much impossible to tell what happened; could have been a heart attack because of a defect, a few possibilities but we'll never know.
He was only seven years old :( He's never been ill before. The shocking thing is the speed, the fact we had no warning. From one hour to the next he went from being completely fine to being gone. He would often sleep on my bed, come in the home office and sit on the corner of the desk, he was the friendliest of all our cats. Gonna miss him like mad.
Give all your cats a big hug cos you never know what might happen in this life.

So sorry to hear that HumanEnergy.
My parents cat died recently. You could say he was as much mine as my parents as I'd lived with them while they had him for most of his life. Was an amazing little fella with a huge character. Used to tap the living room window when he wanted to come in. He'd been thru the wars mind you. Got knocked down by a car & his jaw was smashed to bits, broken ribs & had to have a leg off, but he pulled thru like a trooper. He lost a front leg but still flew back & forth thru the house 1st thing in the morning. Then his back went & he couldnt walk but I looked after him, cleaned him, nursed him back to health & kept him caged to help his disc pop back into position, & he was walking again within a month :).
This yr he suddenly went downhill pretty quickly. Wasnt eating or moving much. We found out that his kindeys had packed in. He died a few days later. It was the worst feeling in the world taking his body down the long journey to the vets in a cardboard box to be cremated.
Got the ashes back in a lovely little handmade wooden casket.
He lived to a good old age of 15 & never gave up during the hard moments of his life.
He was a big part of my life. Like a member of the family, & I still miss him everyday. Its weird but earlier today I stumbled on a load of photos that I'd taken of him over the yrs, & it hit me hard again that he's gone from my life. And yes I blubbed a little.
I'm gonna miss those Xmas day catnip crazy moments when he got his pressie from me.
RIP my boy Amber xxx.

Bloody Oscar. We gave him a collar with a bell on it to try and curb his killing machine tendencies, save a bit of the local wildlife population, but it just seems to have spurred him on to show nothing can stop him. I had to stop work as I was interrupted by a very weird and awful sounding noise from the hall... he'd caught a huge Magpie and brought it inside!
He caused quite a stir too; we shooed him back outside with it and there was an army of Crows circling above squarking at him, and about three other Magpies sitting on the garden fence squarking at him and flying over him trying to distract him and save their buddy. Worked in the end as the Magpie managed to get a little run and fly off to safety.
As it managed to run and fly hopefully it has no injuries that'll cause it any problems. Oscar can't be stopped though, he's like a Cat version of John Matrix!

Our cat Shadow died suddenly this evening, we're totally devastated, it came completely out of nowhere.
We had the same thing about 18 months ago. Our cat Puff Daddy accidentally licked some lilly pollen from the stamens he'd brushed up against. Lilly pollen is apparently fatal to cats, but this was the first we'd heard of it. We've kept lillies and cats for donkey's years.

Hehe ;p
I had a similar problem with my old cat Magic. We used to live near a meadow so every so often he’d bring back rabbits (some bigger than he was) and would drag them 500 feet across the green - he must have been exhausted. :o
I feel bad now as my reaction was always to tell him off. :(
Reading about cat behaviour later, it seemed he was only dragging them back to gain my approval.
Thankfully my current cat (aptly named Bear ;p) is soft as a brush so it’s not an issue.
