I don't know whether this is a problem or not to be honest. Maybe Saurian will be able to shed some light on this seeing as he's been inside loads of PS2's.
I installed a network adapter on my US PS2 last night and when I turned it on there was a prolonged orange flash from inside (saw it through the vents at the front). The machine still works fine however although the fan noise is no longer constant, seemingly speeding up and slowing down every now and again.
I was wondering if maybe there was an amber LED inside which was triggered by the network adapter or maybe it's something more sinister.
Any ideas?
