Is this still alive? I'm trying to connect, but everytime I do it tells me the line is busy.
What do I do?

No, network service ended quite a while ago. You need a copy of Dream Key 3 (also available with PAL Phantasy Star Online Ver.2) or an American PlanetWeb Browser Disc and input your own ISP information. PM me and I'll let you borrow a PlanetWeb disc.

Another quick Q. to anyone that can help, the reason I'm trying to get connected is to download the extra songs for the US version of Samba De Amigo.
Are they still available, and will I be able to get them from the UK, should I manage to get connected?

They're not available via the game but you can get them from other sources, hit Google. You can store them on your VMU then and they'll work OK.

This page may still work:

Yea, that works.

http://www.booyaka.com has the samba de amigo songs as separate downloads, so oyu can keep your save file - I think you have to create an acocunt to get access

Sorry to bump an old topic and ask more irritating questions but...
For some reason on booyaka, I can get all the way through the site on my Dreamcast, up until the page where the Samba De Amigo songs are actually listed. Any idea why? The page works fine on my PC

Wow, another problem, I really suck at this.
I found another site with the songs, when I click on the .vmi file to download it, it just takes me to a page with a text file, rather than the .vms.
Is this a Dreamkey thing, should I be using Planetweb?

I used booyaka fine using DreamKey 3.0, but that was quite a while ago
Do you have the latest version of DreamKey (3.0)?

I do yeah.
But I fear that even if I can get the page to load, I won't be able to download a file to the VMU! Should it happen automatically when I click the link?

Sometimes, the server has it's MIME types incorrectly configured so the VMU file is treated like a text file instead. I remember being able to download some files only through the PlanetWeb browser, but most worked on Dream Key.

Got 'em now! The page on Booyaka with the links to games was, too big or something I guess, and it wouldn't let me navigate to any page from it. Typing the direct link to the Samba page, from another site, worked OK. And the downloads were fine, I guess the other site I tried was at fault!
Cheers for everyone's help!

I was wondering about this sort of thing too - so can you still browse the web with your DC just with some other cd thingy? Hmmm...anyone know where I can get a Dreamkey 3.0 or PlanetWeb disc?

Download it off the 'net. An alternative is to use an in game browser.
Yea, you can still browse on your DC if you use your own ISP settings (modem or BBA aside).

I can't download it off the net as then how could I use it with my DC....? :???:
And can you use broadband with a DC then... *sees prices on eBay* ...oh, maybe not then
Ah man, I need some explanation - should I just buy a dreamkey 3.0 from eBay?

I meant download a browser off the 'net, burn the image to CD and then use it in your DC. Yep, broadband is possible but you'll pay through the nose for a BBA.
Just buy one from eBay, that seems to be the easiest route for you.

Oh, I get you now. Quite clever that ;) Any idea where I can get a browser? And don't I have to burn it in a specific manner?
Sorry I'm being a bit slow at this, but thanks for the help nevertheless :)

Dunno really, any P2P stuff should have DC images... BitTorrent? No, no specific burning required, as far as I know. Apparently, single-speed burning "works better", but that's mostly bollocks.
I have a feeling that you may still be able to actually get a disk for free too, if you give Sega a call.

Marklar, you are the commander!!
I just e-mailed Sega and within 20 minutes I got a reply saying this:
"Please send us your full address details so we can send you a free copy of Dreamkey 3.0."
Bonus!
thanks for your help :D
