Hey all.

Got some friends over tonight for a Winning Eleven 8 marathon, so I'm gonna be hooking up the PS2 to my projector.

Currently, I've been using a standard RGB cable, which does the job, but I'm wondering if I'm better off grabbing a PS2 Component Lead, preferably from a high-street retailer, just wondering if anyone has any suggestions to any specific make or model?

Thanks.

Only go for the official one my love. The others are pap. I think you can get it from HMV for £15. If not, you can have mine off me, as I'd prefer to use RGB on mine, saves me switching.

Is there much of a quality difference between RGB and Component mate?

I've got an HMV near me, so I'll take a walk and have a look in there, thanks anyway tho' :)

I have an American Monster comp lead and it's slightly better than the official one but only really noticeable on big screens (like a projector ;) ). The IXOS one is also very good and you can get it over here too.
Haven't compared to RGB as I've wanted progressive for GGXX from the start.

There's no difference that I can see between Component and RGB on the PS2 and seeing as there's hardly any PS2 games that do progressive scan I'd stick to RGB if I were you.

I thought Component can carry an RGB signal? I've seen tvs with the component leads that have YPbPr but I've also seen the same leads with RGB.

What's the deal?
